New Pokémon Snap has been on the radar of every fan who played the original on the Nintendo 64. After a re-release on the Wii U eshop, hype only grew for the humble wildlife photography simulator. This new entry sports mechanics new and old, with the original bait returning and new Illumina Orbs to make Pokémon glow! These mechanics will help you get the perfect shots of these monsters in their natural habitat. Look out for it this April!

Sinnoh is back with remakes of popular Diamond and Pearl versions. These new versions are remade in the new 3D stylings of the Switch, but retains the classic feel by redesigning the characters in the overworld into a chibi style. While giggle-inducing at first glance, the authenticity it brings is undeniable in its presentation. This is especially true when the battle sequences go back into the classic 3D aesthetic you’ve come to love from Sword and Shield. These titles release worldwide later this year.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

The future of Pokémon comes from the past with the announcement of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This is an open-world title set in ancient Sinnoh which looks to have taken a few cues from Nintendo best-seller The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The world is vast, wild and primitive right down to the wood-wrought Pokéballs to bring a level of immersion never before seen in a Pokémon title. While the footage shown is not final, the Godly Pokémon Arceus’ appearance and a 2022 release date is sure to build a ton of hype.
